Just uploaded a couple of the instrumentals from the Mind Altering Dynamics [Instrumentals] release on youtube. This one seemed to be a favourite amongst people because of the Mars Volta sample, which is cool, but at the same time I didn’t sample it because it was The Mars Volta and they were well known. I did it because I’m a fan of them, I loved the song and felt I could flip it. I’m personally not a fan of some artists that choose to only sample what’s popular or well known, especially lately where sampling that “popular indie shit” seems to be in style. Hey, if they make a dope track out of it I could care less what they sampled, it’s only when they’re obviously trying their hardest to be relevant that it starts to sound pathetic.
